"Lighting is an amazing combination of art, craftsmanship, and technology." Get to know the faces…
The LED revolution is underway.
If you are concerned about the environment or if you are looking for ways to lower your electrical bill.—LED lighting may be a great choice for you. LED lights are known for their energy saving potential. This revolutionary advancement in lighting technology has the potential to save you a significant amount of money over the long run. This is due to the fact that LED light sources consume considerably less energy than either traditional incandescent or fluorescent sources and have a much longer useful lifespan. Where incandescent light bulbs have a useful life of around 1,000 hours and fluorescent light bulbs will last for around 10,000, LED light sources have a potential life of 30-50,000 hours. Changing bulbs less frequently means having to buy fewer light bulbs, which will lead to added savings in the long run.
LED technology and LED light sources are continuing to evolve; it is a wild west show out there with little consistency between manufacturers. Colour temperature and lumen output can vary greatly. There is also the issue of dimming. Some LED manufactures make claims that their products dim with a standard incandescent dimmer. Reputable manufacturers are now listing on their spec sheets what dimmers they have tested with their products, that is if they are dimmable at all. Dimmer manufacturers like Lutron have a chart on their Web sites showing all of the LED products they have tested in-house, indicating which dimmers in their product line are compatible.
Cost-wise, LED products can be expensive up front, just like dimmable recessed fluorescent fixtures, but they have longevity and efficiency, which helps offset the higher initial cost over time. With three LED colour temperatures- 3000K, 3500K, and 4100K- Juno’s LED Recessed downlights are suitable for a wide range of residential or commercial applications. Juno’s LED housings are also conveniently available in 5- and 6-inchsizes, in new construction or remodel housing styles.
Juno LED housings are compatible with a broad selection of existing 5-and 6-inch Juno open and lensed trims. The baffle, cone, decorative or lensed trims in 5- or 6-inch sizes constitute the most comprehensive trim selection in the industry. These fixtures were designed for longevity, and in some applications such as residences, they may outlast the ownership of the property. The Juno LED Downlight provides up to 50,000 hours of operation, resulting in more than 11 years of maintenance-free operation based on 12 hours of usage per day. That’s 25 times the life expectancy of incandescent, and five times that of compact fluorescents.
